Ajvar: Roasted Red Pepper Spread

Ajvar (pronounced eye-var) is a delicious roasted red pepper and aubergine relish that originates from the Balkans. It’s full of flavour with a vibrant, sweet and slightly smokey taste.

I love to use it as a spread for bread, on toast, in sandwiches, as a sauce for pasta, or just spoon it straight from the jar!
